Ingredients
  

  • 2 large sweet potatoes peeled and cut into fries (¼-inch thick)
  • 1 ½ tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt adjust to taste
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon adds a subtle, sweet warmth
  • ¼ tsp cornstarch optional, for extra crispiness

For Garnish & Dipping (Optional):

  • Fresh parsley or cilantro chopped
  • 1 tbsp grated Parmesan optional
  • Dipping sauces like spicy mayo honey mustard, or chipotle aioli

Instructions
 

Step 1: Prep the Sweet Potatoes

  • Peel and cut the sweet potatoes into even-sized fries (about ¼-inch thick).
  • Soak them in cold water for 15-20 minutes (optional, but helps remove starch for crispier fries).
  • Drain and pat dry with a towel.

Step 2: Season the Fries

  • In a large mixing bowl, toss the sweet potatoes with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, cinnamon, salt, and black pepper.
  • Sprinkle with cornstarch for extra crispiness and mix well.

Step 3: Air-Fry the Sweet Potato Fries

  • Preheat air fryer to 380°F (195°C) for 2-3 minutes.
  • Arrange the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket (cook in batches if needed).
  • Air fry for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until crispy and golden brown.

Step 4: Serve & Enjoy!

  • Transfer to a plate and sprinkle with fresh parsley, Parmesan (if using), or extra salt.
  • Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces!

Notes

  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 3-4 minutes.
  • Make it Extra Crispy: Avoid overcrowding the air fryer, and let the fries rest for 2 minutes after cooking before serving.
  • No Air Fryer? Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
